ISI has operated as an engineering company, based in Huntsville, Alabama, since incorporation in 1993.

​

For over fifteen years we have provided systems engineering, software development, specialty engineering, and test support services for missile defense development and deployment programs. Our missile defense work has centered on in-flight interceptor communications systems and on reliability-availability-maintainability (RAM) analysis.  We have performed these services under subcontracts to major defense contractors.  ISI also provided RAM consulting services in support of a project to develop an integrated air defense battle command system,

ISI performs research and product development in equipment prognostics and condition-based maintenance (CBM) technologies.  ISI prognostics research projects have applied advanced statistical methods to develop prognostic equipment and structure health monitoring tools for defense and commercial/industrial uses.

 

Related ISI projects have employed cooperative intelligent agent technology to develop advanced automated multimedia maintenance tools and enterprise integration systems. These ISI research efforts have been partially sponsored by defense agencies under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.
